I may have stumbled into a new career...
I was incredibly surprised to find a message from Michael Gulezian lurking amongst my emails this morning. It never occurred to me that one could backtrack links from other sites. If you'll take a perusal down the right side of this blog, you'll find I've one to his site.
What's more surprising is that he mentioned he's to be in Tulsa this next week for a closed (members only, daggnabbit!) conference.
Being the greedy little bastich I am, I suggested my trying to find him a spot to perform during his stay. He said sure!!!
I sent him a list of 5 or 6 coffee shops in the area that may just have open spots on a short notice and volunteered to take my cds so the bookers/owners can give him a listen.
Here's hoping I get to see him this next week and that I can get a gig lined up for him when he passes thru Tulsa on his way to a Texas show in February.

Halloween on the Bookmobile
Other than it being more than a couple years since I've driven the monster, it wasn't as scary as one might think...
Yesterday, however....
At the end of our last stop, an elderly lady, toothless and in her nightgown, came up wanting her "chiliburgers with cheese". We had difficulty convincing her we only had books and no food. That was pretty much when we knew it was time to leave.
In other news, my allergy test results are back! I am allergic to smut and hemp....
Is it any wonder I'm a conservative? If I can't party, ain't no-one gonna party!!
